Outreach & Education

LINC provides educational outreach for cancer patients and their families.  Some of the topics include:  Legal and Financial Planning and Working Through Cancer Treatments.  These seminars are free and open to the public.  LINC believes that educational programming has a far reaching benefit because each person who attends will then spread the information to others in their support group or circle of friends, and they to others. Time is the enemy for cancer patients;  doing it right the first time (whether it is applying for disability or telling your employer that you need leave) means that the results will positive and immediate. By providing this knowledge and sharing successful strategies for negotiation and advocacy, patients and/or their care givers can become their own advocates.
